Andre Custodio

is a SF bay area native Drummer/Sound Designer who studied with Brian Fergus, Bob Danielson and Karl Perazzo. Andre started his studies in Drumming at age 12 under the private tutelage of Santana's Karl Perazzo. At age 18, he bought his first drum kit, studying privately under Victor Flaviani and Bob Danielson of Beach Blanket Babylon. He currently teaches and performs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Andre's lifetime focus is the study of advanced independence/interdependence techniques with a textural approach.
He has recorded with Rudis/Custodio/Diaz-Infante, Tri-Cornered Tent Show, and Say Bok Gwai. 'Nihil Communication' is his ongoing solo project, combining unique instruments, analog synthesis, and digital processing, which produces a web of dynamic ambient noise.
